Eleven Months!

It blows my mind how quickly time flies and how big our little man is getting.  It seems like he learns something new every day!

He is roughly eighteen and a half pounds.  We are finally moving into some twelve month old clothes, although we are still mostly in the nine monthers.

Will is now standing and letting go for a few seconds, but not stepping yet.  I am in no rush! He is a fast cruiser and crawler.  As you have seen, he also has found that he can walk from place to place hanging on to something like a laundry basket, box, or toy.

Super-kid motor skill- my eleven month old ca throw a ball.  Seriously.  It goes 12-18 inches, but still.  Super genious.  Super smart cat has figured this out and occassioanly will bring the baby his cat toy.  The baby throws it, then the cat goes after it. Those two are hillarious!

This month he is all about learning words and labels.  He asks for labels all the time.  He points and says "That." Which is what we do when we say, "What is that?" It keeps him awake at night, asking for labels and thinking about words.  He will nurse for 2-3 minutes, then pop off and point to something and ask, "that." He can label books and balls (favorite letter seems to be "b" right now), cup, and a few less consistent words with water, giraffe. He will also tell you to "Go, go, go!" Which is a silly phrase he got from Mommy meaning we should dance/run/wiggle/chase the cat.  He also will say yes and no, but does not 100% understand how much power that gives him, just yet.

He has four teeth, and more on the way.  Sleep has become more iffy with the teeth, and we end up with stuffiness every time. Will consistently goes to bed between 8 and 9, but lately has been up around 12, goes back to sleep in his own bed (because Daddy is good), and then up again sometime between 3 and 5, at which point Mommy is too sleepy to deal with it and just brings him into the big bed. He probably sleeps through 9-6 one in three nights of late.

As you can tell, taking pictures of a wiggly eleven month old is a challenge! Pictures aren't great this month.

  1. #1 Clearly, Will is a super genius. I'm impressed at his ball throwing skills. Love him.
#2 I love that Jeff is asking to get out of the room in most of these pictures...it's as if he knows that if he stays he will be subjected to baby play and he's not thrilled with the idea...
