We went to the occoneechee speedway, the first nascar track, now converted you a park, to run Will and Maddie this morning.  Fun was had by all :-)

Potty!

I have a longer update post in the works, but...


Last night Will tinkled in the potty!!!

We are so excited!  He started expressing an interest, so for 3-4 nights I sat him on the big potty for a few minutes, let him wave some toilet paper around, and flush before his bed time diaper. Three nights ago I broke out the cousins' little potty, which he was very excited about, and last night, after his bath, I sat him on the potty and after 2-3 minutes it happened!  I think he was just surprised by it, and only about half made it in the potty (I don;t know how to teach a boy!), but we jumped up and down, and called the grandmas, so excited!

Obvoiusly we still have many diapers ahead, and I don't think we will move out of diapers with our current daytime sitter, but a huge step. He's getting big so fast!

Our little man has started talking up a storm, in addition to his walking.

He also sings the hook from old macdonald, eee iiiii eeee iiiii  eeee iiiiii eeeeee iiiiiii. The same tune goes for the alphabet song and the allelulia.

He tries to say a lot more. All of this is with a thirteen month olds articulation, so you have to know him to catch most of it, but it is consistent and sounds pretty close. He jabbers on sometimes like he knows just what he is talking about and gets quite mad when we dont follow. Sometimes he is totally just making up sounds and randomly pointing at things.

Watching language develop and emerge is such a cool process!

Quick trip trough the local co-op for weekly staples. I don't think he noticed that we got out of the car!

The bear (lovie/owl/cow/mickey) is his new thing. He loves a lovie to hang out with him and snuggle.

A "viral rash" accompanied by fever on and off, diarrhea, grumpiness, and a need to be held at all times.  Poor baby! Fortunately C could stay home with him and work from home while snuggling. Hope Will doesn't help him too much with the typing!
