More Pictures

Well, 2.5 hours of sleep per night is starting to add up, so the blog posts are slowing down - Sorry!

At our visit with the pediatrician on Friday, Will is gaining weight, just a bit more slowly than we would like to see.  We are pushing feedings and trying to stay home a bit more to make sure we are focusing on eating. We still love our morning walks, though, and made it to mass for a second time this weekend.  Will slept through mass like a champ again, and Mommy and Daddy tried hard not to!

First attempt at switching to cloth diapers - FAIL.
Will is not big enough for even the smallest covers just yet, so we got major leakage.  Oh, well.  We will try again when we hit 7+ pounds.

Great Grandma Lehnes came to visit William!
He loved it!  She sure does know how to snuggle!

Aunt Liz is so silly.

At two weeks, I am bright eyed and interactive for a few play times a day.
I LOVE music, and books that rhyme.  I also like staring at things.  Really anything that is still or moves slowly.  And ceiling fans.

Daddy loves my Tar Heel feet.

Swaddle - Ha! I laugh in the face of the swaddle!
Note the escaped hand.  He can't stand to have his hands trapped.  But he does sleep SO much better in the swaddle.

Will's Adventures in Week Two

It has been a little while since my last post.  We are starting to have some semblance of a routine, which is great!  Will likes to eat for 3-5 hours almost straight through in the evenings (which is a bit rough) but then wants to sleep for 4-5 hours straight!  I can't believe our 10 day old is sleeping that well.  He usually plays a while in the morning and gets a good long 2-3 hour nap in late morning or early afternoon.  He is super cheerful most of the time and very snuggly.

We have been walking in the mornings, and ventured out to a park with Maddie on Tuesday. Will likes to sleep in the sling when we are outside walking.

Off on an adventure in the car!
Will likes the car and is a great rider.

This elephant is fascinating to stare at.  He kept Will entertained.

 Super snuggly!

My boys - note that they are sleeping in exactly the same position.
Like father, like son.

On a note of personal victory, my feet are finally back down to a normal size and look like my own feet again.  That feels so good!
Will's first piece of mail, and the government now recognizes him as a real person.

Will gets a visit with Auntie Katie. (OK, sleeps through a visit.)

We are also very excited that Will's new friend Charlotte arrived on Tuesday night!  We can't wait to meet her!  We are hoping to have a play date soon.  :-)

Meal train

http://www.mealtrain.com/?id=mkrd084l823t

Meal train is an online calendar for meals.  If you would like to bring us dinner and stop on to meet William, we would love it. We at never sure what to expect from feeding schedules right now, so we just have to be flexible with visits.

Thank you Emily for setting this up  for us!  William can't wait to meet Emily's daughter, Charlotte very soon!

Happy Birthdays!

Today was  big day in the Cristobal house!  William turned one week old and Christian turned 31.  We ventured out to mass this morning and then to a birthday dinner at Auntie Christy's house this evening.

A Walk

One week ago, Christian, Maddie and I went power walking around the neighborhood (as best possible) at an insanely early hour to get contractions amping up because my water had broken.

This morning, Christian, Maddie, Will, and I went walking on that same route (though just one lap), on this beautiful Saturday morning.

We are loving this little man who is constantly making us smile!

Thursday and Friday

Shelly's parents (grandparent names TBD) came to visit and helped out on Thursday.

The cousins stopped in on Thursday night and put on a show.

I keep threatening to roll over, which is rather ambitious of me, and worries mommy about how long her plans will last for the pack'n'play sleeping arrangement.

Auntie Emily sent us these great stickers to take monthly pictures.

Mommy had a little too much fun with them.

We tried tummy time briefly, and did OK.  It was a new view of the world!

Bright eyes!

So handsome!
