A rough description of what a "work" day looks like:
4:45 Wake up William and bring him to nurse in the big bed (aka snuggle snack)
5:45 Mommy gets her shower, Daddy walks Maddie
6:30 Put together bags for Ms. Adele and pump parts for work
6:45 Quick nursing top-off, breakfast for all five (furries included, don't forget to feed the cat)
7:15 Out the door to Ms. Adele's, Will snoozes in the car on the way there
7:45 Drop off with Ms. Adele, Will wakes up and gives Mommy one more smile as she heads out the door
9:00 Will asks (yells at) Ms. Adele for another snack, this is usually his biggest meal of the day
10:00 Will's buddy Griffin steals his passy, Mommy pumps and works on patient reports and letters
10:30 Time for a snooze, William eats a snack and falls asleep
11:15 Will wakes up because he doesn't want to miss anything. Ms. Adele reads the kiddos a book
12:30 Grown ups are lunching and Mommy is pumping, this time she blogs or reads a magazine
1:30 Will eats a snack and settles in for his long nap shortly thereafter
3:30 Will wakes up for snack time #4. Ms. Adele likes to hold him a snuggle him lots! Mommy gets a quick afternoon pumping in.
4:15 Will plays a rousing round of drop it on the floor and see if anyone picks it up for me.
5:00 Daddy picks up William and heads for home.
6:00 Mommy gets home a few minutes after the boys, and scrubs off the Dr.'s office germies before she and Will settle in to nurse. Will is always very excited to nurse after a long day of bottles. Daddy starts dinner
6:45 Peek-a-boo, and raspberies on the belly. Will is happiest if he gets a few minutes in just a diaper to relax
7:00 Dinner at the table. Will plays with a spoon (shinny!), and a bowls (which make a great sound when dropped on the floor from the highchair). He is not into food yet, but enjoys the play and social time while learning about how this whole "dinner" thing works
7:30 Up to get ready for bed! Clean off, into PJs, sometimes even a massage if it's been a rough day. Baths twice a week. Once we are settled into clean PJs, we nurse to very sleepy, then sing prayer songs and rock to nearly asleep.
8:30 A kiss good night. The grown ups take care of the house, set up for tomorrow, and watch a little TV before bed. One last pumping session on Silver Lightening to help bolster supply for tomorrow's meals.
Of course every day is different. Dinner is a new addition, and only happens a few days a week before baby bedtime. Some mornings run smoother than others. But everyday is fun!
Oh my goodness ... i know exactly how cray those ams can be!
